One day I was searching for the latest firmware available for the Nokia Smartphones. Every device seemed to be O.k with its latest available firmware installed other than mine. My Nokia C6-01 is still on the ver. 22.014 but the Nokia Mobile site as well as Software update site is showing ver 25.007 to be available. 

But when I checked for the update on my device or via Nokia Suite it says 'you have latest firmware already installed on your handset'. This is something very disgusting as Belle is already delayed and now I am not getting this update too.

Is there anyone else who's having the same problem? please report us in comments.

Nokia via Nokia conversations announced that the Nokia Belle update ( Earlier known as Symbian Belle) will be rolling out for all current Symbian Anna devices from Feb 2012. The most interesting thing is that they removed the Symbian tag from Belle and renamed it as "Nokia Belle". Nokia first removed the Ovi tag from all its premium services like Ovi Music and Ovi Store are now Nokia Music and Nokia Store respectively. Now they have deducted Symbian from Belle and named it as Nokia Belle.

Nokia Coversations says:

The all new Nokia Belle (previously Symbian Belle) user interface will soon be available for download to some existing smartphones and begin shipping with a selection of smartphones that are already on the market.

Launched earlier this year with Nokia 701, Nokia 700 and Nokia 603 smartphones, the UI has received lots of positive feedback from our customers.

The enhanced versions of Nokia N8, Nokia C7 and Nokia C6-01 have now started their journey from the factories to the shops with Nokia Belle preinstalled, arriving first in China, then around the world.

For those already owning a Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia E6, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia C7, and Nokia Oro, the wait for Nokia Belle is almost over. Starting in February 2012, Nokia will release the all new Nokia Belle software update to existing customers and you’ll be able to download it right on to your phone, bringing a whole heap of improved features.

Nokia Belle brings you more home screens, expanding the current three home screens you get with Nokia Anna to six. That’s more screen real estate to host your apps and widgets.

Recently,  rumors spread all over that there will be no Symbian Belle update until February 2012. So here's the shocker for you, Nokia UK confirming the news has said "yup, it’s not coming in Q4 2011 at all."

 Seems like Nokia doing it the same way they did with Anna. when they announced that" the former Symbian^3devices will be getting Belle update", nothing was confirmed and now when end of Q4 has come, they extended the date. But still you can enjoy Belle on Nokia 701, 700 and 600 when Carla and Donna updates are still to come.

This week started with the story of overclocking N8's processor from 680 MHz to 1GHz  by just using a mod which is simply a .Sis file. The mod provider was claiming that the file provide ,if installed on to the Nokia N8, would give the phone a performance upgrade i.e would increase processor speed to 1GHz.

                    But when the file (20001079.txt)  was unloaded it turned out to be fuss. It was not a mod but just a .txt file that was used to implement and control NGAGE games settings that former gaming platform for Symbian S60v3.


So don't ever try to install any such mod on your Nokia as they will only deceive you and can even harm your device but even if you dare to do so keep in mind that you won't get 1GHz speed on your 680MHz processor.

This is something very exciting. Folks over Symbian tweet, Nokia is uploading Symbian Belle Support videos on their Official Youtube channel. Till now only two videos have been uploaded and both of them are unlisted.
Seems like Nokia is uploading videos to release with the Belle update. This point makes the sense that the update is very close , very close indeed.

Remember, last time we posted "NOKIA C5-03 FIRMWARE V21.0.003 UPDATE NOW AVAILABLE " ??  Today Umang has sent us some screenshots of the updated browser of his Nokia C5-03.

The browser is the only feature that has been added to the device after this update. The browser here looks         same as Symbian Belle browser ver. 7.4.  Please note that when Symbian Anna update was about to come, Nokia C5-03 got Anna like browser and now when it has got Belle like browser, it is sure that the update is coming within a week or two.

Nokia's last MeeGo powered device Nokia N9 got the P.r 1.1 update few days back and P.r1.2 is on the way. Here are some leaked screenshots of N9 p.r1.2 update from Nokia N950 developer's device.

Changes Made :

1. In the handling of applications Added a button to manage applications.
2. The interface now separates the camera flash option.
3. In the video recording interface separated the icon to turn the LED flash.
4. The buttons have a new style.
5. On display there is a new option settings Colour Profile.
6. Settings Gallery has a new option for face recognition.
7. The menu to display an image and has a new option “Insert face”.

If you own a Nokia C5-03 Symbian handset, you can now download the v21.0.003 firmware update for your Nokia phone, either via the Nokia Suite or directly onto the device using Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA).

Before you download and install the v21.0.003 firmware update onto your Nokia C5-03, you can check which firmware version your phone currently running and then use the Device Updates tool to get your update over-the-air.


To do this, just access the keypad on your Nokia C5-03 as if you were going to make a call and type *#0000# to see your Software Version. You can then tap Options > Check for Updates, to install the v21.0.003 firmware update.
The tiny 1999kb v21.0.003 firmware update for the Nokia C5-03 can be downloaded either directly to your handset over-the-air using FOTA, or you can connect your Nokia phone to your PC and download it via the Nokia Suite.


While there is no official confirmation as yet of what changes the v21.0.003 firmware update brings to the Nokia C5-03, firmware updates are always worth installing for the extra features and speed tweaks they bring to your Nokia phone.

last time we posted some great news about arrival of Symbian Belle update to Symbian Anna devices but saw there was no Nokia C7 and even no Nokia C6-01 in the list of the devices to get Symbian's most awaited update.

          But today, one of our readers, domur posted some links in the comment section stating that Nokia Russia site has been updated and Nokia C7 and Nokia C6-01 have been added to the list of devices getting update soon.

Seems like Nokia is all ready to start rolling out the update for all Symbian^3 devices that have already got Anna update. Hope the rumour comes true, cant wait any more to get the update on My Nokia C6-01 :)

So here we are , no Belle update this week too.... seems like all the rumours are not perfect or are self created. But still we can't leave our hopes untill december 31st or the end of Q4  comes.

                                 But here is  a good news for all you guys sittin' out there. Nokia's official page for Belle has been updated and Nokia N8 and Nokia E7 have been added to the list of phones getting the update soon.

But now the wait seems to getting over within a week or so as From DailyMobile, there’s DannyCanRock – remember that name? the guy who leaked the first Belle. On the 12th November, he said:

This is not pretty sure but some other rumours have spread that Belle update is going to roll out for previous Nokia devices from 18th November onwards.

Remember , Few Months back Nokia itself made an official statement that : 

Lets hope that the information is true and Symbian Belle will be delivered to all Symbian^3 devices next week or as quickly as possible for Nokia.

Thanks to all of your feedback, we’re happy to release an update of Swype for Symbian. Over the last 8 weeks we’ve addressed all of the critical issues raised on Beta.
